In my first ever natal chart reading when I was 27 years old the astrologer told me that because I have the moon and Jupiter conjunct in my fifth House of Libra I was going to be the kind of person who has lots of children. ๐๐๐๐๐ No I’m not.
In fairness I completely understand why she said it because children are a common association with the fifth house: but so is creation. And there are so many things that we can create.
There’s something about the process of creating whether it be a human being or a personal project where you have all of these lofty expectations and ideals for the thing that you are creating and then it arrives and it is something entirely different from what you expected but exactly what you need.
This workbook is that for me.
I used to think it was a humble brag when writers would claim that the amazing body of work they’ve created came to them out of thin air, or was something that they channeled and not something that came from them. But I think I get it now: there are things that we learn from experience that are so unconscious to us that when we write them down we surprise ourselves with what we already know. And we get to learn it again when we see it come to life on the page.
What I gave birth to in this workbook is the culmination of nearly a decade of building out my own spiritual practice and falling in every pothole along the way and learning and growing too. It is everything that I wish I had known when I started out.
